Our University, Our Experience, Our Life

I am hardworking, determined and most importantly I want to make my university experience the most enjoyable it could ever be and I would like this for other students too. This is why I have decided to run for a position in the Student Union as I am enthusiastic about working with fellow students.

There are three positions that appeal to me from the various roles. Being a campus rep for Moulsecoomb is one. In this role it would give me the opportunity to meet students with different ideas and opinions which could then be discussed and acted upon. I am approachable and have an open personality which I hope would encourage students to talk to me about their issues, problems and worries or simply have a friendly chat. Another role would be the Site Entertainment Officer, which would enable me to use my experience of organising events which I have done in the past such as sporting and social events at my local golf club. Finally, the Non Portfolio Rep Executive Officer would be of interest to me the most as I feel I am a methodical person, a good listener and decisive, who is able to listen to all the facts and come to a fitting conclusion.

I feel that being part of the Union Council is an important role as it fosters team spirit. I am a firm believer in this concept and I would welcome the opportunity of playing a small part in achieving the goals of the Union Council for their members.
