Manifesto
Hola, Bonjour, Hello, I’m Nathan Alfonso and I’m targeting the position of the Brighton Entertainment’s chair. Currently, I’m in my second year studying the prestigious BA Honours Business Studies course.
Entertainment is a key element to Uni’ life and I plan to make sure entertainment surrounds student’s lives. This will stretch from Student Union events all the way to activity based entertainments such as dancing, drama and many more.
I am here to assist with the different entertainment activities but also to lend you my ear to put any new suggestions into motion.
I feel I consist of the right ingredients for this role as I am driven to satisfy the entertainment needs of the University of Brighton population through persistently ensuring students are involved with events and activities. Also, I am enthusiastic about undertaking the responsibilities of this role such as consulting students to help them create entertainment that others will marvel at.
The experience I hold that will guide me through this role is the marketing and promotion I have been involved in with club nights, student union events and the pebble. Examples of these would be assisting with the running of the Student Union Holly Ball and club nights which included performances from Urban sensation Chipmunk and Drum’n’bass heavyweights Pendulum. This experience has given me a wide range of exciting and innovating ideas that I intend to implement around and outside the campuses if I am chosen to be Brighton Entertainments chair.
