70%of students polled* believe it is important that UBSU is a democratic organisation, however only 38% believe that UBSU is effective at selecting the best leaders for the Union. We need to change that!! (*SWS e-questionnaire, 2008).
Over this month we will be out talking to you regarding Democracy within the Students' Union. UBSU wants to know what you think of the Union's elections, Union Council and the Annual General Meeting amongst other things
We want you to have your say to ensure the new Union is your Union, and that you have ownership and a sense of belonging with UBSU.
UBSU is a democratic organisation; the students running it are elected from amongst the student community - so UBSU is run by students for students. Are we doing this the most effective way though? UBSU's many meetings aim to empower the students at the University of Brighton to make and influence decisions in a democratic way, but do you feel you can?
